Sefton Launch their Local Cultural Education Partnership.
An exciting year of Arts, Cultural, Digital and Creative Events are being planned for next year.
Arts Council England in partnership with the Department for Education launched The Cultural Education Challenge to improve the alignment of cultural education for young people through Local Cultural Education Partnerships (LCEPs).
Cultural Education partnerships
The Arts Council has identified 50 cultural education partnerships across the
country where there is the most chance of success. All will be up to full strength by
2018 - with an emphasis on developing them rapidly in areas of most need.
They will be modelled on the successful local Cultural Education Partnerships
established in Great Yarmouth, Bristol and Barking & Dagenham.
These pilot partnerships were established by the Arts Council with partners; the
British Film Institute, Heritage Lottery Fund and English Heritage.
In each Cultural Education Partnership the Bridge organisation will work with
schools, the local authority, voluntary and community organisations, further and
higher education, and music education huubs and funders to improve the alignment
of cultural education for young people.
