Could PageRank Be About To Update
A few people reported a couple of weeks ago that new sites / pages were not caching, and that is always a good sign of a PageRank update. Those people expected it last weekend, but on recent form, I thought not.
Google has been exporting the PageRank data to the toolbar between 30th and 4th of the change of month recently, so tonight would fit in with that sort of a pattern. I also noticed that a site that was brand new that I linked to from these pages in the week was available on Google within 48 hours, so it is back to caching sites.
That could also be good news for me. If the export was prepared last week and shows this week and this site is able to get another site listed overnight, is sort of implies that the PageRank here is not going to drop, it might even go up. I dream of a PR3 or even a PR4 on these pages with a September PageRank update!
I can dream, and wish! But it has been 5 months since the last update of the publicly available PageRank data and they have only ever gone longer than that once before (gone are the days of almost weekly updates). So one could be due tonight, if not it might be waiting until October!
After A Car Accident
I was reminded yesterday of our car crash, that took place just over 5 years ago. Actually, we were in holiday at the time and as I was clearing up a few pieces of paper I found a note from that holiday.
